It could be much better, but Nyko really got it together in this area. However, it still has a somewhat mushy feel that I find annoying. It is still not as precise and predictable as the official D-pad, or many other third-party versions, but it works well. Going immediately to THPS4 I was able to pull my usual magic with relative ease. The new D-pad is shaped the same but is more accurately calibrated. The most effective change is the D-pad, which was really terrible on the first-generation model. Thankfully, the new Air Flo is much improved as an actual controller.
